Unique among Colorado accommodations, the three-story log cabin sits on a wooded hillside overlooking Blue Lake and the LaPlata Mountains. The setting is extremely private without another building in view.

The cabin has a wrap-around deck from which one can watch the trout, waterfowl, muskrats, and deer. The local wildlife consider the lake central to their existence.

The cabin is ideal for two to eight people. There are three bedrooms and three baths, one on each floor. The main living area and wrap-around deck are on the second floor. The living room has a large stone fireplace and vaulted ceilings. The hand hewn log walls give way to large windows taking advantage of the mountain and lake views. The kitchen is well equipped with full size range and refrigerator, and is fully stocked for cooking and serving up to eight guests. The small bedroom on this floor has a queen bed and there is a full bath.

The third floor-accessed by a circular staircase contains the master bedroom. This large room has a king bed, stone fireplace, incredible views, and a wonderful bathroom with a shower.

The first floor is accessed through its own outside entrance and contains a large suite with two queen beds and a full bath.
