One mile from the Main Inn on its own eighty acres and the banks of the tranquil La Plata River, the River House is ideal for nature lovers and families with one or two children that are looking for a private experience. The little La Plata River usually runs a small amount of water year round and there are several fishing holes along the two-mile stretch of river on the Ranch.

This cozy homestead house was built almost one hundred years ago. Entered through a sun porch the small living room has a gas-burning fireplace and adjoins a small kitchen and dining area. There is a small range and refrigerator in addition to an outdoor grill. There are two small bedrooms - one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds. The large Mexican tiled bath has a tub with a shower.
