The River House

One mile from the Main Inn, on 80 acres and on the banks of the tranquil La Plata River, this large Southwest style cottage was built in 2012 and takes the place of the tiny Homestead house that was there for so many years. The new house has high vaulted ceilings and a great room with full kitchen, dining area, sitting area with fireplace, and a reading alcove that overlooks the La Plata River. There are two large bedrooms, each with a king bed, fireplace, luxury baths with walk in showers and whirlpool tubs. There is also an additional half bath and a washer and dryer.  The reading alcove has a single bed banco that can be extended to a Queen plus bed. The outdoor patio and riverside chairs provide a great place to enjoy nature. Two to six people can stay here in comfort listening to the river and enjoying the solitude.
